Aaj ka mausam live: The monsoon has become active in many parts of the country. There is rain from Madhya Pradesh to Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha. It has also rained in the Northeast. Kolkata is receiving heavy rains due to the monsoon being active. Meteorologists say that at present, the people of West Bengal are not going to get relief from this. Kolkata and surrounding areas are also forecast of rain on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. There is every possibility of cloud rains in various areas of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, the people of Delhi -NCR are still waiting for heavy rain. There is a thick cloud in the sky, but in some areas, the matter is being ended there due to light rain. Due to the cloudy and rains somewhere, the outbreak of humid heat has increased considerably. People in the country’s capital are suffering from sweaty heat. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) had expressed the possibility of rain in Delhi and surrounding areas due to the activation of West disturbance and its effects a few days ago, but there was no heavy rains.

The central parts of the country have been expected to receive heavy to very heavy rains for the next 2-3 days. Especially in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, a warning of risky weather has been issued. The border areas on both sides like Vidarbha (Maharashtra) and Uttar Pradesh borders will also be in the grip of this monsoon activity. In the last 24 hours, heavy rains have been recorded in Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and eastern Madhya Pradesh; There has been torrential rains in areas like Bilaspur, Rajnandgaon, Mana, Nagpur, Amravati, Gondia, Chandrapur, Brahmapuri, Chhindwara, Damoh, Pachmarhi, Naugaon, Betul and Malanjkhand. Till July 10, there is a forecast of strong rains in these areas. Actually, there is a low pressure area in West Bengal. This has strengthened heavy rain activities. This system will gradually move towards Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Eastern Madhya Pradesh in the west. Later it will become weak, but its cyclonic influence will reach West Madhya Pradesh and Eastern Rajasthan. During this time, there has been a possibility of heavy rains throughout the week. Meteorologists have feared flood -like situation in the affected areas.

Torrential rain in Kolkata

The monsoon started in Kolkata on 16 June 2025 this year, which was much late than normal. After this, the city has received only 20 to 30 mm of minor rains so far, but from July 6, the weather patterns started changing, when a low pressure area developed in West Bengal. After this, the atmosphere in the city became moist and stormy. On July 7, Kolkata and its suburbs saw the first monsoon torrential rains of this season, which is still going on. It has been expected to be more intensified. Actually, there is a low pressure area in West Bengal, which is getting support for a well -made cyclonic circulation. A long monsoon trough originating from the northern plains is passing through the center of this low pressure area. Due to the presence of this trough, rain activity in Kolkata and its surrounding areas has increased further.
