1. Home cleaning is the first task
It is very important to clean the house before starting the spring. Lord Shiva loves cleanliness. Dirt, dust or broken things obstruct their arrival. So clean every corner of the house, remove old newspapers, broken utensils and useless clothes etc.
-Damru
Lord Shiva has Damru in his hand, which is a symbol of the energy of the universe. Keeping it in the temple or place of worship removes negative energy and poses positivity in the house.
Nandi is not only the vehicle of Lord Shiva, but also his biggest devotee. It is considered auspicious to place the idol of Nandi in front of the Shiva temple. This leads to stability in devotion and increase in faith.
-Rudraksha garland
Rudraksha is considered to be born from the tears of Lord Shiva. Wearing it or keeping it in a place of worship brings peace to the mind and concentration increases in meditation.
If the idol of a deity is broken in the house, then it should flow into the river before the spring. Broken sculptures cause negative energy and reduce the effect of worship.
5. Remove closed clocks and torn books
Clocks locked in the house, especially if they are in the temple, then they become a symbol of interruptions and obstacles. Also, if religious texts are torn, then they should be removed respectfully.
Sleeping on the ground is considered a kind of fast on some special days of Sawan. This brings humility in the body and devotion in the mind.
7. Make a meditation center at home
If a calm place is fixed in the house for the whole month of Sawan, where Shiva’s attention, mantra or bhajan can be done every day, then it has a spiritual effect on the whole house. This also reduces mental stress and keeps the atmosphere calm.
