Patna. A big revelation has been revealed in the investigation of the famous Gopal Khemka murder case in Bihar capital. The police have confirmed that the land dispute was the main reason behind this murder. On 8 July 2025, an audio clip was presented at the Patna Police’s press conference, in which a fierce debate and abuse between mastermind Ashok Saw and Gopal Khemka were heard. However, it is not yet clear which land this dispute was about. Police said that Ashok Saw has a criminal history, and he has been suspicious in many cases including Manoj Kamalia and Santosh murder in Bihar Sharif.

Land dispute and audio clip revealed

Patna police confirmed the call recording of the mobile phone recovered during the investigation that there was a deep enmity between Gopal Khemka and Ashok Saw over the land. At the press conference, DGP Vinay Kumar recited an audio clip, which recorded a hot debate and abuse between Saw and Khemka. This clip is said to be some time before the murder. According to police sources, the dispute deepened from the Nokazok on the election of Bankipur Club and other occasions. Saw once threatened to ‘see’ by pointing a guard gun on Khemka in the club.

Ashok Yadav’s name was also revealed in this scandal

Bihar DGP Vinay Kumar said that Ashok Saw’s name was also revealed in the murder of Manoj Kamalia and Santosh. There are many cases against him in Bihar Sharif too. The DGP statement regarding the Gunjan Khemka murder case has come. He told that he himself had investigated that case while Adg Cid. Gunjan was killed by Abhishek alias Mastu. Mastu was a shooter. Gunjan was also murdered due to ground dispute. Mastu had taken a license from Nagaland.

Khemka family returned bodyguard

DGP Vinay Kumar said that last year, Gopal Khemka’s bodyguard was withdrawn last year, later even when he was asked to give the bodyguard, he was refused. The encounter will be investigated under the SOP, the police station area in which the encounter has been done. Police of that police station area will not investigate this encounter. SSP Patna and IG Patna Patna said that the accused are being produced in the court. After going to judicial custody from the court, further inquiries will be done on remand.

Ashok Saw’s criminal record

70 -year -old Ashok Saw, a resident of Bihar Sharif of Nalanda, was the first iron merchant and was associated with scrap and real estate in recent years. Police revealed that Saw’s name has come in several criminal cases in Bihar Sharif, including Manoj Kamalia and Santosh murder. However, he did not prove guilty in these cases, but remained under suspicion. Saw had given a contract of Rs 10 lakh to shooter Umesh Yadav, out of which Rs 1 lakh was given in advance. After the murder, Umesh Saw’s Udayagiri was hidden in flat number 601 of the apartment.
