Abhishek Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan made their debut in the film industry in the year 2000. Hrithik’s film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai was a blockbuster, while Abhishek and Kareena’s film Refugee flopped. Now in the interview, Abhishek talked about comparison with Hrithik.

In a conversation with the Times of India, Abhishek Bachchan was asked whether he felt jealous of him when he made his debut with Hrithik Roshan at the same time. In response, Abhishek said, yes we were compared. But as a new artist I never felt jealous.

I have never seen it from that perspective, because I never considered anyone my match. And I am not saying this pride, but I am saying with the thinking that no one else can do what I do and what you do, I cannot do it, because no one else can be what I am. I do not like to compare artists, because it is against art. Now who to like, it is your own choice.

Abhishek further said, I give an example of this with art. My two favorite painters Subhash Avachat and Paresh Maiti are. I like both of them very much, but it is difficult to say which of these is better, because art is a matter of their own perspective. One can like an artist more, but it cannot be said that he is better than another. Saying so will be disrespectful of their different work and style. Abhishek believes that the same applies to actors.

Abhishek praised Hrithik and said, ‘Hrithik is a great actor and my good friend too. I am really very happy that as much as he has achieved so far and what is doing further is a comfort. But more than that, I like him as a human being.
