She was included in the list of China’s 20 highest grossing foreign films. The film had grossed more than 2000 crores. But Pakistan had banned without watching the film.

Ban decision was taken in the first meeting as soon as he became a minister
This decision was taken by the then Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) minister Maryam Orangzeb, who was the then Information Minister. He mentioned this in a podcast. Maryam Orangzeb said, ‘If I regret anything, then when I was the Federal Information Minister, the screening of’ Dangal ‘was banned in Pakistan. My first meeting was with the representatives of the Censor Board and the people of the Ministry of Information. He recommended a ban on the screening of the film, giving some reasons.
Now regrets
Maryam Aurangzeb said that he approved the ban on ‘Dangal’, although he had not seen the film. But then when he himself saw the film after about one and a half years, it was realized that the decision to approve the ban was wrong. He said that it was a film that was inspiring for our girls.
Aamir Khan told that he
Aamir recently told in ‘AAP Ki Adalat’ that he did not release ‘Dangal’ in Pakistan because he was removing the national flag i.e. the tricolor and the national anthem from the film. But Aamir was not ready for this at all.
