European Commission Chairman Ursula von Der Leyen defended herself before the motion of no -confidence motion brought to himself on Monday (local time). He alleged that political opponents are plotting on him and Kovid-19 epidemic.

Leyen said that MPs are staunch right wing, who proposes a condemnation against the Executive Branch of the European Union. Their purpose is to divide among pro -Europe political groups in Parliament. During a full session in Strassburg, France, he said, “We can never let the extremists write history again.”

Many allegations against Leyen in condemnation proposal

The condemnation proposal features several allegations against Leyen, including conducting text messaging privately with the head of the vaccine manufacturer Fizer, misuse of the European Union funds and interfering in the elections of Germany and Romania. Leyen led to an attempt to find a vaccine for about 450 million European citizens during the epidemic.

Leyen may have to resign on losing

European Union MPs will vote on a condemnation proposal on Thursday. Two-thirds majority are required to pass the proposal. Leyen’s win is almost certain. If she loses, she may have to resign.

Pipperia’s charge- Leyen distorted facts

Romanian MP Ghoraghe Pipperia, who supported the condemnation proposal, alleged that Leyen distorted the facts and attempted to sideline the European Parliament. He said, “The decision making process has become opaque and discretionary and this creates the possibility of misuse and corruption.”

Leyen retaliated by Pipperia’s statement. He said that Pipperia’s speech is ‘the oldest strategy of extremists’. He said that its purpose is to ‘polarize society, to eliminate confidence in democracy, make false claims of election intervention, try to write history again.’

EPP accused of working with staunch right -wing parties

Leyen comes from the European People’s Party (EPP), which is a political family united and the largest group in Parliament in the block of 27 countries. But the pro -Europe of Europe is accusing the EPP that they worked with radical right -wing parties to confirm the deal. The second largest political group, Socialist and Democrats (S&D) said the condemnation proposal is the result of ‘EPP’s irresponsible and double sports’.
