Barmer News: A former army soldier of Barmer district has been caught on charges of smuggling. He was involved in smuggling with his girlfriend. He also made his girlfriend and friend a partner in smuggling.

The accused is a resident of smuggler Balotra district.

According to the information, the soldier caught is a resident of Durgunda Kadanadi of Sindhri police station area of Goddu Ram Balotra district. The Special Cell of Delhi Police caught him in Kalindi Kunj in Delhi on 7 July. He had hidden opium under his Creta car’s footmat. When the special cell searched for his car, he did not get anything first. But later when the car was thoroughly investigated, opium was found under the footmate. The police was also surprised to see this. The price of recovered opium is in crores of rupees.
Goddu Rama was accompanied by his girlfriend Devi. Devi is already married but she was supporting her business with her lover. He was accompanied by Pira Ram, a friend of Godhu Ram. The police seized the opium and arrested the three. Initial investigation by the police revealed that Godu Ram also kept a partner in smuggling by giving 50-50 thousand rupees to girlfriend and friend.
Opium supplies in Delhi and Jodhpur district
When the police questioned him and a severe pair of the case came to light that these people have been associated with drug smuggling for a long time. Godhu Ram brings opium from Manipur. He supplies it in Delhi and Rajasthan’s Jodhpur district. The police is investigating the entire case by registering a case under the NDPS Act against the accused. Where the opium caught was to be supplied, it has not been completely disclosed yet. The special cell is trying to find out the entire network of accused.
