He said on Monday that from August 1, 25 percent tariffs will be imposed on goods coming from Japan and South Korea. After Trump’s new announcement, the US market is seeing a decline. By the time the news was written, Nasdaq in the US slipped 0.92 percent. S&P 500 also fell 0.71 percent. Apart from this, Dow Jones declined by 1.03 percent.
Trump also said in a post on Truth Social that if any of Japan or South Korea puts tariffs on American goods in response to this tariff, then the rate of American tariff will be increased.
