Faridabad107 -year -old Sant Ram Jaiswal, who came to live in Tau Devi Lal old age home in Faridabad, Haryana, has been a soldier of the freedom struggle. He fought against the British in association with great revolutionaries like Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose, Chandrashekhar Azad, Udham Singh. After retiring from the army, he spent a long life like a normal citizen, but now he has no one left. After the death of young son and wife, now he is left alone in this world.

In a conversation with Local18, Sant Ram Jaiswal said that I was born on 8 December 1917 in Amritsar. Was there before independence. After that he was admitted to the army. Was fought with Pakistan twice. Companions like Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose, Chandrashekhar Azad, Rajguru were with us. We all fought together for the independence of the country. We also had an important role in independence. He told that in 1980 he retired from the army. After retirement, he started working in a cloth mill in Faridabad. After 1980, I worked in a cloth mill, so that life continued. He says that I had a son and died in an accident. Wife is no longer in this world. Now I have no one. He said that from today old age home is my home.

The director of the old age home, Krishna Lal Bajaj told that Sant Ram Jaiswal has lived in the same old age home about 10-12 years ago. At that time his wife was killed when he was sent home for the funeral. Baba had gone without telling. We had said that he should come back after doing action. Then after some time his young son also died. Now they are completely alone. Krishna Lal Bajaj told that Baba was first in the army and has worked in the team of Subhash Chandra Bose.

He himself stopped the army pension. Today they have returned to us again. We have told them that now there is no need to go anywhere, stay with us in the old age home. This is your home. Anyone should become emotional after hearing the story of this brave son of 107 years. The hands that fought to liberate the country, are forced to live life alone today.
