Earthquake News Today: Strong earthquake in Guatemala, damage to many buildings.

Guatemala earthquake news: The earth is shivering thousands of far away from India. There was a strong earthquake in the Central American country today i.e. in the early hours of Wednesday. Today many earthquakes occurred in Guatemala one after the other. The earthquake caused panic among the people. People started running around in fear. Government officials themselves asked the people to get out of the buildings to avoid possible tremors. The earthquake occurred around 3 am on Wednesday.

The intensity of the first earthquake was 5.2. It came to Southern Guatemala around the afternoon local time. According to the country’s earthquake science institute, it came about 60 km from the capital Guatemala City. After this, many shocks with intensity of 3.9 to 5.6 were recorded.

Earthquake has damaged many buildings. Its pictures are going viral on social media, in which cracks in buildings and some structures are showing mild damage. Seeing these pictures, the earthquake is seen as a horrific. At the moment, there is no news of anyone dying from this earthquake.

In view of the huge earthquake, the National Disaster Reduction Coordinator (Conred), the Disaster Response Agency of Guatemala, immediately issued security instructions. Conred said that as a precautionary measure, we recommend to vacate both public and private buildings.
